It will be very uncertain how long I stay. perhaps it may be
so that dear Augusta Battles will be there at the same time
I hope so at least for I want to see her very much, and hope
I shall have the pleasure of it this Winter. It seems as though
my attachment had increased for during her absence.

If you see her before I do give my love to her, my respects to her
brother. My love to Frances. I hope she is a good girl.

Tell her that her kitten has improved greatly since she
left. I suppose you see that I am any thing, and every
and every thing. I am in my room alone writing on
a book placed in my lap. I was just about to close
but a large number of thoughts rush into my mind
which I must scratch down. 1st. Uncle C's wedding.
He is certainly married, and came to meeting last Sunday
with his lady. He looked as nice, as nice could be.
I went with Uncle Hiram to the wedding. 2ndly. Your shirts
I was much surprised that you had not got them. I
expected you would have them the first of this term.
Aunt Sarah thought she could make them soon after she
took them. I was very sorry that I could not make them
but it was impossible, considering the time I had.
3ly. Our school is to be examined next Monday and
Tuesday. Tuesday evening there will be an address before the
school in the hall in the Accademy. I wish you
could come, although you would not be much edified I think

I now think I have written all. So from
your friend, and sister Augusta, Good Night
