ing their Marriage publicly solemnized ; in order that fuch their honeft defires my

same to be lawfully folemnized without publication of Banns, I do hereby for good
causes, give and grant this Licence or Faculty, as well to them the,faid parties con-
trafting, as to all ot every Perfon or Minifter, duly ordained, and lawfully exercifing
his Miniftry within the faid Province of Upper Canada, to folemnize and perform
the fame ; provided always that by reason of any affinity, confanguinity, precontract
or any other lawful caufe, there be no legal impediment in—this behalf, otherwife,
if any fraud fhall appear to have been committed at the time of granting this Licence
