Monday, December 23, 1918

A good day and warm for the time of the year. Ben worked on Owens house this morning and went to Cedar Forest this evening. Josie ironed to day and got dinner . Johnson Reynolds sent us some oysters. We had them for dinner and supper. I stewed pumpkins boiled meat and made scrapple boiled beets then went to Marvins a little while. Ben had a letter from John to day heard from Jim. He has bin complaining with rheumatism. I do hope he may get well soon. Franklin got slippers to day. He was so proud of them.
