Very Dear Parents,

Immediately upon our return about the 7th Sept. I wrote informing you of our safe arrival at Lowe. We found all things well. Through a kind providence we enjoy uninterrupted health. Edmund goes to school daily and although it is difficult to confine his attention to his book, yet I think he his making some improvements. I have him at common reading & spelling with something as a mighty t??? in geography. I have received lately a letter from sister Brice among other things complaining that she has not had a letter from you for 18 months past. The continued session of the Supreme & N. S. Court (of which I am Clerk) for 2 months hasn't had so constantly engaged any attention that I have to blame myself in neglecting to write Sister Cooper & Mr. Woods to whom I owe a letter in debt. I am exceedingly anxious to hear from you, having heard nothing since I left you. My thoughts and anxiety are often with you ??????? ???? & happiness & health. - ??
