BOURLON under command of Major Rowlandson. Enemy bombing planes very active. Weather Fine. RBO'S

Battalion Resting all day. "B" Echelon in Quarry Wood E.10.a.50.2. Left at 6.00 p.m. and
marched to west of QURANT arriving at V.25.c.5.75 at about 9.30 p.m. Hot tea and light lunch
served by kitchens. Reinforcements fifty O.R.s. Weather wet. RBO'S

do 8 Brigade Guard supplied by 38th Battalion. Brigade inspected by General Sir David L. Watson
KCB, CMG. Weather Fine. RBO'S

do 9 Acting Brigadier General holds conference of all Officers of the Battalion in
Mess at 11.30. Bathing Parade in afternoon. One Officer reinforcement,-Lieut. W.E.French,DCM. RBO'S

do 10 Rain all day. Route March arranged for cancelled. RBO'S

do 11 Fine. Training - Platoon and Section Drill, Physical Training, Musketry, and Lewis Gun.
Football match in afternoon between Brigade sub-staff and 38th. Result - tie. News
of Lieutenant Burke's death received in evening. RBO'S
