My Boyce on behalf of the Committee in the
reorganization of the Faculty and conferring of
special degrees as recommended in his
Presidents message made a partial
report as follows
First That an additional professor
should be employed as suggested by the
President, wherein the Executive Committee found
in its hands funds sufficient for that purpose
after providing for current expences and
improvements proposed to be made to the University
buildings.
Second That a special grade of the
degree of bachelor of arts to be called "Bachelor
of Arts with honor" be created and
Third
That further time be given the Committee
to report upon the University matters
referred to them
Upon motion of Mr Bundy the report
of the Committee was received and adopted

improvements
A telegram was received from Mr Hanaford in
regard to the drawings and specifications of
the proposed improvements of the University buildings
and after a consultation in regard to this
[illegible] by the Board, upon motion of Mr
Wilson it was resolved that all matters
relating to the buildings plans and specifications
be postponed to a subsequent meeting of the
Board to be called by the President whenever
the drawings and specifications were ready to
be acted on by the Board
Upon motion of Mr Wilson the Executive Committee
was authorized to advertise for bids material and work
upon the proposed changes in the buildings in advance
of the action of the Board upon the drawings, plans
and specifications
On motion of Mr Wilson the Board proceeded to the
Election of Offices, which resulted in the election
of E.H. Moore as treasurer; L.M. Jewett Auditor and
R de Steigner Secretary and W.A. Rook Collector
