report. We recommend the conferring of the
degree of "A.B." upon the following named young
ladies and gentlemen; just now finishing their
collegiate education, to wit:
Emma R. Dana, Mary Ames de Steigner, Adam J. Hank
and William A. Longbow - and also the degree of
Bachelor of Science be conferred upon Philander Jacobs
and James W. Sands.
We have had no applications for
honorary degrees presented.

Report.
To the Honorable The Board of Trustees of the
Ohio University.
Gentlemen.
In obedience to your appointment
I attended the examinations at your University
during two days and beg leave to submit the
following:
The other two members failed to make
their appearance and therefore it was not possible
to do as thorough work as was desirable.
I attended examinations in the following branches
of study.
Psychology.
The questions in this branch were comprehensive.
The answers were, in the main, good, and indicated
careful training in that part of the subject most
useful in training to accurate thought and directing
the mind towards the True and Good.

Physics.
The examination papers upon the subjects of
Electricity and Light were placed in my hands.
From an examination of them, I found that
the class had made commendable progress in this
branch of study and were doing good work.

Latin.
The Virgil class, under Mr. Vail, has made good
thorough progress; in the main, and seems to have
laid well the foundation for their college course.
They translate readily and are familiar with the
