Canticles - or songs drawn from other portions
of Holy Writ than the Psalter, but put on the
same footing as the Psalms.

This is the comparatively rare form of service book
known as a Diunnal which contains the liturgical
forms for the day offices only as opposed to the
Breviary which contains also those for the night
offices (Mutins and Compline)
