This Bible expanded a marginal concordance system
introduced into printed Bibles by Bernhard Richel in
1477. "Their bible placed equally-spaced marginal
typographical capital letters A to D and A to G
in the New Testament of their complete Bible,
expanded the marginal concordance, and used
intra-textual double slash marks virtually identical
to those in the Lollard bibles" (P. Saenger, "The
impact of the printed page" in the Bible as Book:
the 1st printed editions, p. 38)
