Le Harve, France

Dearest Mother,

Whatta trip! The normal time it
takes to reach Le Harve, Fr. from
Bamberg is about 48 to 56 hours.
It took us 84 hours! Was I
glad to get off that train! Three
nights trying to sleep sitting
up is no fun, especially on hard
wooden seats and no heat! I

without moving! Seems the French
train crew decided it was time to
"take off" so they did and left
us without an engine.

This is about the biggest "Tent
City" I've ever seen. There are hundreds
upon hundreds of tents for mile
after mile. They say there are
25,000 troops waiting here to
go home! Hope my boat comes
in soon! If my luck continous
as it has, I'll be surprised if
