1. Office in Merchant's nat'l Bank bldg. In Charge of Miss
Florence Jones.
110 calls for assistance were answered. Cases were in-
vestigated, families aided in getting nurses, services of
nurses, both volunteer and paind, given to many unable to pay,
medicine and bed closthing provided and a general supervision
of the hospital and soup kitchen.maintained..
Those who helped in the office were, Miss Florence H. Jones,
Miss May V. Johnson, Miss Elsie Haywood, Mrs Sadie Bear, Mrs. P.
D. Walker, Mres R.D.V.Connor

II. Soup Kitchen. In charge of Mrs. J. J. Bernard
Maintained for 25 ddys in the bsement of Edenton Street
Methodist Church. Vegetable soup, beef broth, chicken broth,
boiled custard, fruit, rice, toast, eggs, fruit jeyy, milk
and sandwiches were supplied.
107 families were served from the kitchen in thehomes,
(87 white families and 20 colored)
150 individuals called at kitchen for food.
400 calls weere made by those dilivering frm the kitchen
2000 containters were used.
Lunches for nerses on cases and all nurses on night duty
in emergenby hospital were prepared by Soup Kitchen.
