1. Office in Merchant's nat'l Bank bldg. In Charge of Miss Florence Jones. 110 calls for assistance were answered. Cases were investigated, families aided in getting nurses, services of nurses, both volunteer and paind, given to many unable to pay, medicine and bed closthing provided and a general supervision of the hospital and soup kitchen.maintained.. Those who helped in the office were, Miss Florence H. Jones, Miss May V. Johnson, Miss Elsie Haywood, Mrs Sadie Bear, Mrs. P. D. Walker, Mres R.D.V.Connor

II. Soup Kitchen. In charge of Mrs. J. J. Bernard Maintained for 25 ddys in the bsement of Edenton Street Methodist Church. Vegetable soup, beef broth, chicken broth, boiled custard, fruit, rice, toast, eggs, fruit jeyy, milk and sandwiches were supplied. 107 families were served from the kitchen in thehomes, (87 white families and 20 colored) 150 individuals called at kitchen for food. 400 calls weere made by those dilivering frm the kitchen 2000 containters were used. Lunches for nerses on cases and all nurses on night duty in emergenby hospital were prepared by Soup Kitchen. Those helping in the kitchen were: Mr J. J. Bernard, Mr. S. T. Martin Mrs J. H. III. Motor Service. In charge of Mrs R. M. Albright. Answered 125 call for service. Those who responded were: Mrs. John H. Andrews Mrs T. C. Lewis, Mrs B. Hanbury Mrs Steadman Thompson Mrs L. A. Mahler, Mrs R.G.Busbee Mrs W. G. Drake Jr. Mrs A. M. Maupin Mrs Sameul Lawrence Mrs P. D. Walker Mrs. E. H. Jordan Mrs J. B. Timberlake Mrs Fab. Brown Capt Patterson Mrs. Hubert Thomlinson Rev. Geo. Eastes Miss Elizabeth Dortch Mr Cooper Young, Miss Sarah Fenner Mr Hornaday. Miss Marjorie Montague

IV. Nursing in homes. The Red Cross supplied and paid nurses for 14 families and sent volunteer nurses to 9 families. The office also secured nurses for 45 families who were able to pay.

V. Surgical Dressings. Under the directions of Mrs R.D. W. Conner. Pneumonia jackets, gauze sponges, and hospital garments were made for the Emergency hospital. 3___ Report on Influenza epidemic continued.

VI. Emergency Hospital Established in the High School Building in the Wake County Board of Health and the RalegihChapter Red Cross jointly. It was in operation 15 days and treated 76 patients. The volunteer help was as follows:

All these articles are owned by the Raleigh Chapter American Red Cross.
