Today I have taken my music lesson, and this
afternoon, in spite of the unpleasant weather, Mary
and I are going to see our new little cousin at
Aunt Hadlocks.

Sunday, Nov. 28.
The last time that I wrote it was to say
that I was enjoying a vacation, now, alas! I must
say that my vacation is over - How soon it is
gone - I have enjoyed it though, short as it was,
and have done quite a number of things, though
many that I intended to do have been neglected
for want of time - The picture that I began
three months ago, and intended to certainly finish
this vacation has been worked on about two
hours in all, which as it is quite a large one
does but little towards finishing it - the under
clothes that I intended to make in preparation for
winter, are very far from completed - the old clothes
that I was going to collect for Mrs Peasley, and the
bonnets that I intended to fix up nicely before giving
them to Mr Wells are still scattered about in the
different closets - The calls that I owe are still
unreturned, and I have done very little about the
things that I wanted to get ready for school - besides
other things too numerous to mention, that I intended
to do and have not done - Those that I have done
are more easily enumerated - I have been to see
