Charles F. Sanbron, Esq.,
New York.

Dear Sir:-

Your favor of is received. When the St. Matthew lot
was cleaned up last Summer a number of iron vases and borders were
found broken or rusty, and where the addresses of those interest-
ed were unknown, they were removed and marked with the number
of the grave from which they were taken, and some of the shrubs and
trees were removed or trimmed at the same time. The only object
doing any of the work was to removed some of the signs of neglect
and decay which are continually appearing as time goes on.

The vase removed from grave 172 is here subject to the
owners order but should be properly painted before it is returned
to the grave.

The whole lot is to be regraded this season and the work
is in fact underway now, and any holes and depressions will be fill-
ed up at the time, although I did not find the hole referred to.

The letter enclosed is returned as requested,

Respectively yours,

Sup't.
