Mrs Andrew Robeson

Dear Madam

I have carefully ex-
amined your lot with reference to
the change of grade which you spoke
to me about, and while I would
much prefer to have no change
made, still if you find the present
grade so unsatisfactory to you, and
are disposed to go to so large an
expense, it might perhaps be arranged.

I doubt if the general appearance would
be improved by the change, and it
does not seem to me that any improve-
ment which you would devise from it,
would warrant so large an expense.

The reason of the great expense about
the change is that the embankment
would have to be formed again
from the bottom in order to have
the grade of the bank regular

Yrs very truly
J.W. Lovering
