Dear Sir.

Herewith enclosed please find
your Statement of Cash receipts & expenditures for
week ending June 3^d 1870. Which you handed
me a few days since, (without cash balance).

I do not know what has been the custom heretofore,
but it seems proper that where money is paid out for
Expressage, or other expenses, and to entered in the account,
that vouchers for said payments should accompany the
account.

I observe in the credit of amt. paid by Lewis Jones
May 31^th for [sic] intermint, no name is entered, tho. in
other instances they are.

Please give these matters your consideration & let
me hear from you in regard to them at your con-
venience.
