Capt. D.L. Winsor

Dear Sir,

Mrs Benj. Richardson
widow of the late proprietor of lot no 978,
on Cypress Av.e, near the St James, has
been here today, and wishes to add
to the lot
as much as the bylaws
allow, in the rear of the lot. She has seen
you or Fred, she says, & you under-
stand it. Will you please survey
it -- send her me the certificate, &
enter it in your next report. I think
she is sole residuary devisee under his
will: but I will arrange that
with her. --

The Hon. Alexr H. Rice whose
wife's remains were placed in the R.T., has
called to say that he has suddenly decided
to go abroad by tomorrow's steamer, & will
probably return in Septr. At his request,
under the circumstances, I assured him
that we would take no action until
his return -- probably in 5 mos. -- Immediately
on his return he proposes to select a lot. --

Very Respy yours

A.J. Coolidge Sec.y
