1888 .; Meeting; .

The monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees was held as notified on Wednesday, . at 2:30 o'clock P.M.

Present. The President and Messrs. Eaton, Hodges, Jones, Rice, Sears and Wolcott.

The records of the were read and approved.

Trustees elected . The President announced that at the Annual Meeting of the Proprietors held . Messrs Samuel R. Payson and T. Quincy Browne were chosen Trustees for the term of Six years, ending 1894.

Election of President A ballot having been taken for President, it appeared that the whole number of ballots cast was seven, all of which were for Israel M. Spelman, and he was declared elected.

Treasurer, Superintendent and Secretary Whole number for Treasurer, seven, all of which were for H. B. Mackintosh; for Superintendent, seven, all of which were for J. W. Lovering; for Secretary, seven, all of which were for L. G. Farmer; and each of the three last named was declared elected.

Salaries Treasurer Assistant Secretary Superintendent Voted, that the salary of the Treasurer be fixed at $2,500 for the ensuing year; that of the Assistant at $1,200; that of the Secretary at $600; and that of the Superintendent at $3,200, and that he shall have the use of a House and the

grounds thereto belonging, the use of a Horse and Vehicle and the services of one man, at the expense of the Corporation.

Standing Committees The President announced the Standing Committees for 1888-9, as follows:

Grounds Committee on Grounds.

The President, ex officio, and Messrs Choate, Eaton, Payson and Sears.

Lots Committee on Lots

The President and Messrs. Jones & Whitney.

Finance Committee on Finance

Messrs Brown and Rice.

Interments Committee on Interments

Messrs. Hodges and Wolcott.

Monthly Bills. The Schedule of Monthly Bills of . was presented, showing a total of $3833.16, and it was voted that upon approval by the President, payment thereof be made by the Treasurer.

Representative Lot No. 4883. Voted that Isaac G. Holmes, of Cambridge, a son of the late Proprietor, be designated as the Representative of Lot No. 4883.

Contracts Perpetual Care The Committee on Lots recommended Contracts for perpetual care, as follows:
