Stone Farm Offer. The President read a letter 262. from Joshua C Stone, offering his land adjoining the Cemetery for $24,000, and also referred to a previous offer from the same person, . No action was taken thereon

Thomas Gray Lot Petition- A petition263 was presented from Mrs. Alice G. Almy, asking that Lot No. 670, formerly owned by her father, Thomas Gray, deceased, might be placed in her name as trustee, and a protest against any transfer of said Lot signed by Mrs. Henry and her mother, Mary S. Gray was also presented. Both were ordered to be placed on file.

Roland Litchfield Lot Contract A proposition was received from the Executor of the estate of the late Roland Litchfield to pay a sum sufficient to brick up all interments already made in the single chamber tomb on the lot owned by deceased, #2443. and to seal up in the same manner all subsequent interments, such since being additional to that named in the contract approved by the Board,.

Voted, that the Committee on Lots be authorized to make such a contract as they should deem proper in the premises.

The Monthly Meeting of the Board of Trustees was held as notified on Wednesday, . at 2:30 o'clock P.M.

Present. The President, and Messrs. Whitney, Rice, Eaton, Browne, Hodges, Wolcott, Sears, Clapp, Jones and Choate.

The records of the meetings of . and . were read and approved.

Annual Reports: President The President presented and read the Annual Report 264 to the Proprietors, and it was voted: _ that the Annual Report, as read, be approved and adopted as the Report of the Trustees to the Proprietors, and that it be printed and distributed to the Proprietors.

Treasurer and Superintendent The Treasurer and Superintendent, having presented their respective Annual Reports 265.266. it was

Voted. That the same be accepted, and printed and distributed to the Proprietors.

Disclaimer, Theresa W. Dubuc Voted. That the Treasurer be authorized to sign a certain disclaimer made by Theresa W. Dubuc to Emily A. Ball, relating to the projection of a portion of a portico over the line of an estate owned by said Emily A. Ball, on Newbury Street, Boston; the Corporation being assigned of a mortgage upon the estate of said Theresa W. Dubuc upon which said portico is built.

Monthly Bills The President reported that he had examined and approved the Schedule of Monthly Bills of , for $3,534.28, and that the same had been thereupon paid by the Treasurer, The Schedule of , showing a total of $6,223.42, was presented and it was Voted. That upon approval by the President, payment be made thereof by the Treasurer.

Representative Lot #4681 √ Voted. That Annie M. Phelps, of Boston, a daughter of the late Proprietor, be designated as Representative of Lot #4681.

Sales of Land The Secretary presented Statements 267.268of Sales of Land from to .

Contracts Perpetual Care. The Committee on Lots recommended Contracts for perpetual care as follows:

1887 . Special Meeting. .

A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees was held as notified, on Wednesday, . at 2:30 o'clock, P.M.

Present. The President and Messrs. Payson, Sears, Choate, Whitney, Hodges, Wolcott, Rice and Jones.

The records of the were read and approved.

Trustees elected . The President announced that, at the Annual Meeting of the Proprietors held , Messrs. William S. Eaton and Roger Wolcott were chosen Trustees for the term of Six Years, ending 1893.

Election of President A ballot having been taken for President, it appeared that the whole number of ballots cast was Seven, all of which were for Israel M. Spelman, and he was declared elected.

Treasurer Superintendent and Secretary Whole number for Treasurer, eight; all of which were for H. B. MacKintosh; for Superintendent eight; all of which were for J. W. Lovering; whole number for Secretary, eight; all of which were for L. G. Farmer; and each of the three last named were declared elected.

Salaries fixed. Treasurer Assistant Secretary Superintendent Voted. That the Salary of the Treasurer be fixed at $2.500 for the ensuing year; that of his assistant at $1100; and that of the Secretary at $600; and that of the Superintendent, at $3200, and that he shall have the use of a House and the grounds thereto belonging, the use of a Horse and Vehicle and the
