were here & they with Thomas & Ann
went to the east Village to meeting
all came back here to supper - Cal-
vin carried Sarah home & returned
to stay with Levi - invited Ann to go
to Morrisville, which she did on 2nd
day - had a fine visit - went to
see aunt Mary & came back yester-
day, 5th day - I shall leave the par-
ticulars of it for her to tell thee -
today she & Thomas went for Fanny
to go & visit Abby Blanchard, as
they hear she starts next week
to joint her husband -

James seems to think a good
deal about going to the war - & oh!
how it makes my heart ache -

Horace Steward has not been well
this week & is not here - Thee got us
done laying a little too quick - we
did not finish till yesterday - more
finish this week than have before -
Thomas has not had an hour's extra
help & James or Charles has been
to Horace's all the time till the last
two days as H.S. was not here he had
C. come home - James has been today
& got a little puppy about as big as uncle
