Cake

5 eggs
1/4 lb butter
7 oz flour 3 oz corn starch
10 oz sugar. pinch salt
grated rind of lemon
Juice of 1/2 lemon
2 tablespoonsful of cream.
2 scant teaspoonful of baking-powder

Beat butter and sugar to a cream
add the cream, the beaten eggs
and flavoring, then add the
corn starch and flour sifted
3 times and last the baking -
powder sifted through a little
of the flour, bake in 2 pans
1/2 of an hour, in a moderate oven
