Cottage Pudding

1 pt sweet milk
1 cup sugar 1 egg 2 cups flour
piece of butter size of an egg
2 teaspoonful cream of tartar
1 ditto soda. bake half an hour

Tapioca Pudding

3 tablespoonsful tapioca soaked
overnight in 1 pt water bring
1 qt milk to a boil then turn in
the tapioca add 1 cup sugar &
the yolks of 3 eggs well beaten
bring to a boil then turn it into
a pudding dish flavor as you like
beat the whites of the eggs to a stiff froth and pour over the top
to be eaten cold
