Bone Spavin or
French Paste

1 oz Corrosive Sublimate
1 " Quick-Silver
1 " Iodine with Lard only
to form a Past

Directions for Mixing

Rub the Quicksilver and Iodine
together, then add the Sublimate
and finally the Lard rubbing
thoroughly together.
Shave off the hair and greese
outside of the cut hair; rub in
as much as you can hold on
the pint of a Jack knife each
morning for 4 mornings and
in seven or 8 days the spav
in will come of then wash
with cast steel soap & rain
water and apply green salve
for healing
