AUGUST 21

1931. We pealed & canned 7 gallon's of peaches today. Mother made some soap this afternoon and I swept the back yard.

1932. Miss Nannie, Evlyn & I went to see Lorena a while this morning. We went to church this afternoon. Reck came late this afternoon & we went to church tonight. Miss Nannie & Evlyn went home this afternoon.

1933. I got breakfast, cleaned up the house & got dinner today and cut off a few apples to dry. Sis called me this afternoon. She was at Madisonville. They have gotten back already from the fair. She she she might not come home until tomorrow.

1934. I ironed some today, got dinner, made some watermellon preserves, canned some tomatoes & gathered grapes. Mary & Stella come a little while this afternoon. Amelia came also.

1935. Basil, Rex, Mr. Slaton & I went down to Browder's today to the grave yard cleaning. There wasn't but a few men there so they got much work done.

AUGUST 22

1931. I cleaned up the house today. Cosby, Erdine & myself went to Silent Run to church tonight.

1932. Mother and I cut off apples to dry today. Mr. & Mrs. Conley came a while this afternoon. Mother went to see Ocie a little while late this afternoon.

1933. Rex & I washed this morning. Sis came home this afternoon. I had a chill today.

1934. I have been sick today & in bed nearly all day. I was sick last night also I got dinner & made a quart of grape juice & some grape jelly today.

1935. I wrote a letter to Mother today. I canned 5 quarts of tomatoes today. Lin & Jess spent the day with us. Zolie ate dinner also. Lin, Jess & I went to see aunt Ida this afternoon. She is some better. We heard part of the Will Rogers over Lin's radio that is in his car.
