Loose Papers
On that (crossed out 'cheek') lovely cheek as sweet and fair
And the glance from her deep orb of blue
Seems unchanged, when fancy brings it to view
The same sweet glance was shining there
When she bade me shake thy blossoms fair
That in other days tho' faded then
It might bring the past to light again.
One other faded flower I prize
Of the same sweet hue of my [Cynthias] eyes.
For she hath severed its fragilie stem
And bore it away from its sisters gems
'Tis the Myrtles blossoms bright and blue
As the summer sky of the self same hue

To "Nette'
Since first we met in [Science's?] bowers
How doubly swift the laughing hours
Have hurried us along:
So rapidly the gladsome moments passed
I hardly knew that time could fly so fast
But for now they all are gone
So fare thee well

And bring this priase with cheerful voice.
And in a high and holy strain
Tell how he died for sinful man,
