This Deed Made this the 28th day of August 1931 by Mrs. J. W. Harriss of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the first part, to J. Welch Harriss of Guilford County and State of North Carolina, party of the second part:

Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, in consideration of ($10.00) Ten Dollars to her paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has have bargained and sold, and by these presents does bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and his heirs a tract or parcel of land in the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina, in High Point Township, adjoining the lands of [blank] and others, and bounded as follows:

Beginning at an iron stake, the northeast corner of Mrs. J. W. Harriss property, which property extends from North Main Street and the common corner between Dr. Stanton and Mrs. J. W. Harriss; thence N 53-10 E 75.48 feet to an iron stake, A. P. Browns southwest corner; thence S 38-07' E 26 feet to an iron stake; thence S 53-06' W 75.74 feet to an iron stake, the southeast corner of Mrs. J. W. Harriss property; thence with Mrs. J. W. Harriss line N 6-25' west 26 feet to the point of beginning.

The above land was conveyed to grantor by [blank]. See Book No. [blank], Page [blank], etc.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever.

And the said party of the first part does covenant that she is are seized of said premises in fee and has the right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are free from incumbrances; and that she will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever.

Filed for registration on the 29 day of Sept 1931, at 10:30 o'clock A. M., and duly recorded in the office of Register of Deeds in Guilford County, N. C., in Book No. 675 Page 235 etc. R. H. Wharton Register of Deeds.

Clerk's Fee Pd. .25 Record Fee Pd. 1.00

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA - GUILFORD COUNTY

I, [blank] of said County, do hereby certify that [blank] and his wife [blank] grantors, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed of conveyance, and the said [blank] being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered.

I, George H. Dobbins of said County, do hereby certify that Mrs. J. W. Harriss grantor, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed. Let the said deed and this certificate be registered.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA - GUILFORD COUNTY
