Dear Eva,

Sorry I waited so long to write but I kept putting it off. I certainly did enjoy the x mas presents, thanks a lot. I have been getting along O.K. been working pretty hard. It has been a little cold at night here for the last two or three months, but I guess it will start to get warmer soon. I sure would like to get transfered from this job but it doesn't much look like I will. I don't think there is any chance of getting a furlough now, so I guess I will have to wait. The most I could get would be fifteen days and the way travel is now I would be able to make it.

I sure would like to see you all but I guess it won't be anytime soon. I guess if I would go east now I would nearly freeze after being out here over a year. Well Eva I will close for now but I will write again soon.

Love Jewell
