against a background of tall trees....
We than saw throuh the words of our speaker "The magic
Garden of the Catskills" owned by John Stanley Hooper. A low
wall encloses the garden shuting out all but the mountain
vistas.
Galsworthy saya of the Magnolia Gardens near Charleston
that they are lovelier then Versailles or the boboll Gar-
dens of Hampton Court.
Ater a brief glimpse of Brandon on the James RIver we
were taken to the Craigie HOuse and the poet Longfellow's
garden in Cambridge, Mass.
After a flyin tri to Santa Barbara and a glimpse of the
wonderful delphiniums of the Hyntinton Gardens we were
taken to Pembroke Farm in Wilmington with its live oaks
and to Mrs. Blake's gardens made us realize that no
one part of our country has all the beauty but that all
over its length and breadth are gems of exquisite beauty
in glorious settings.
