Dear Miss Van Waters

I just returned from court
today. Judge Lane called me back
for a resentance and have very
good news for you. Judge Lane cut
my 10 year sentence to a sentence
of 2 to 2 1/2 years, he cut 7 - 1 1/2
years off my sentence, now when
the sentence Im now doing is donw
in 10 months Ill only have 2 to 2 1/2
years and friend I'm a happy man.

Also Im well and doing good
Im eating good and keeping out of
trouble - I got a beautiful sun burn

I still havent heard from my
mother as of yet. I havent got a letter
since the day I escaped over 2 months
ago. Well I'm use of it by now
