Hello Dr. Van Waters

I wish I could have displayed the sincere enjoyment received from your last letter by being much more responsive with an appreciative answer, but I have had to do some personal work for my music collection. A friend lent me his scores to transpose and copy so that I might have the music for my personal pleasure. However my good buddy is going to the farm and I must be swift about my copying.

I am having a lunch hour for a change. Generally I go to my room in population and grow lazy while playing the guitar (not very well). It is really the only time I do have to practice with purpose. In the evening we have a band and I just cant quit playing the trumpet. So I try to find time for both.

We are having a Centre Group meeting at one thirty. I believe Pro. Lloyed Weinreb will be there for a visit. Last week we received a letter fom him stating the outside meeting on Chandler St. were becoming more involved in by the members. Also there is some news of a possible fund being brought into reality. The men inside were sincerely enthusiastic about this.

Donald and a friend are working very industriously on Donalds manuscript. I try to help but Imake mistakes at a much more rapid pace than I type, so the best thing is to work slowly but surely. I wish you could hear the tremendous roars that come from behind the dentistry door when Mr. Rainten finds I have been improvising. They are the most phenominal shouts my mind could imagine, providing they possessed elephant ear drums.

I spend most of my day in good humor. I havent laughed so much in years as I have working with Donald.

The inside meetings are going well. It is proving to be a very eductional experience working with people. [underlined in pen] I notice if we dont have a sincere faith very often a person will find himself questioning his own beliefs.[underlined in pen] In the past few months since your first letter this word faith keeps popping up. It's like trying to suppress an air bubble at the ocean's floor.

I must close very soon the work whistle has blown so I must get about the hospital business. So for the present I hope you will please take care and I will hope to receive a letter from you soon again.
