Friday, June 23rd, 1899

Up 6 am. office 8.30 am and hard at work on office matters. Dinner at 12³⁰ and then to bank and made deposit & to Dentist Mattison and he began to fire bridge for my teeth Mame feeling better Mrs Howard came at 11³⁰ pm

Terribly hot

Saturday June 24 1899

up 6¹⁵ am Office 9 am. and at work At office of Carter & Bell and at telephone office seeing at to "phone" for Mame

Dinner and then down town and to dentists and office and made out bk dft report for [31 Mar] for Fink's-- Saw Dr West about Mame Saw my little granddaughter in Stanhope under my window-- first time since the day she came for now home 6³⁰ pm Read till late

Sunday, June 25, 1899

up 8 am Mrs. Howard went to church Mame feeling very badly. I did not leave premises during the day. At 9 pm Mame suffering fearfully and continued so all night.

Letter from Robert

Monday, June 26, 1899

Mrs. Howard went to Dallas

Up 5:30 am and had little or no sleep last night as Mame was suffering so badly.

Dr. West came at [strike]7[/strike] 6³⁰ am and prescribed. Mrs Howard went to Dallas during am.

Office 9 am and dinner 12:30 - 1:30 and then to dentist Mattisons

Feeling too badly to work on anything in office

Tuesday, June 27, 1899

at office 9 am working on court matters recording orders &c

At night worked on my Commisioner af till nearly midnight. Mame feeling very badly.
