Gentlemen;-

We, your committee on Water Works, to whom was referred the attached communication from the Secretary of the Water and Light Departments, beg to recommend that we be authorized to place a sufficient amount of fire insurance on the New and Old water Works plants to insure the city against probable loss.

I desire to call your attention to the fact that there is no fire insurance covering either the new or the old water works plants. The matter is called to your attention that you may take such action as you deem necessary.
