To the Hon Mayor and City Council of the City of Ft Worth Tx gentlemen, there is $1.25 Still due me for Laor done in a Sewer ditch in the month of Sept 1904 it is 25 cts per day for five days work I having received $1.50 per day on these five days work the minnimum rate of wages as a rule being paid at that time for the Labor I done was $1.75 per day and that was what I got for the next two weeks I worked for the city at the same kind of work only noy as hard I went to work and nothing was said as to the rate of wages I was to get but I was told by the men that they were getting $1.75 per day which was true except a few old descripted men and same that could not understand the english Language and did not know what

wages were being paid I wa employed by foreman Lattimore now gentlemen if there was any one man done more than the rest furing that five days it was myself I worked in the lower end of the ditch where the water and mud and large locks and wire were a great deal worse to handle than any others part of the ditch I quit working for the city on account of this matter I have exausted means to get the rest of my pay with the citys engineers except a said and I threatened that but not until I was convinced that was not disposed to do what was right I live at main and twenty first St north ft worth a would like to come before the council about this matter if
