To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Fort Worth:

Gentlemen:

Whereas in the matter of the respective bids made to the City Council with reference to the furnishing of one thousand (1000) water meters to the City of Fort Worth, the City Council accepted the bid of Henry R. Worthington on the Worthington Disc Meter at prices as follows to-wit:

5/8 inch Worthington Disc Meter, $7.00 3/4 inch Worthington Disc Meter, 10.50 1 inch Worthington Disc Meter, 14.25

the same being the cash prices for said meters, and

Whereas the City is able to buy the said meters and pay for the same in cash out of the Street and Water Supply Fund which is available for this purpose.

Now therefore, in order that the City of Fort Worth may save the difference between the cash and the credit prices of the said meters, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Fort Worth that the said Worthington Disc Meters in number and sizes as follows to-wit, 600 5/8 inch; 300. 3/4 inch; and 100 1 inch be by the City of Fort Worth bought of said Henry R. Worthington to be paid for in cash on delivery in accordance with the terms of the bid made by the said Henry R. Worthington to the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, and that the acceptance of the said bid and the purchase of the said meters shall cause the guarantee of the said Henry R. Worthington, as the same is in his bid set out, to be in full force and effect, and the said meters purchased under the cash bid shall be regarded in all things as fully and as firmly guaranteed as the same would have been had they been purchased under the credit offer and they shall be as folly and fairly guaranteed as were the meters of the Neptune Meter Co. heretofore purchased and in used by the City of Fort Worth as evidenced by the guarantee in the contract between the said City of Fort Worth and the said Neptune Meter Co. heretofore made a under which the Trident Meters heretofore purchased in use in the City of Fort Worth
