RECEIVED of the CITY OF FORT WORTH, in full settlement and compromise of the claim of A.De Mars against the City of Fort Worth for personal injuries sustained by his wife, Mrs. Phoebe De Mars, on March 11, 1904, by falling into an opening in the wooden bridge at the intersection of Jarvis and Hemphill Streets in said city, injuring her left knee, ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS, said claim being the basis of cause No.23175, A.De Mars vs City of Fort Worth, pending in District Court for Seventeenth Judicial District of Texas, which cause is to be dismissed at plantiff's cost.

I, A.De Mars, hereby authorize Ledgerwood & Kassel, a partnership composed of H.O.Ledgerwood & Charles Kassel to execute, in my name and stead with the same effect as if done by me, any receipts or other documents necessary in the settlement of my claim against the City of Fort Worth, for personal injuries received by my wife, Mrs. Phoebe De Mara, at the corner of Jarvis and Hemphill Streets in the City of Fort Worth on March 11, 1904.
