Take one pint & a quarter of the best salet oyl 4 ounces
of Bees wax set it over the fire til it is quiet melted
then Take 4 ounces of Letharge of gould & as much of Letharge
of selver strow them in one after the other with a flat stick stiring
of it softly a quarter of an hour then take 4 ounces of white
lead boil it togather til it look black then take it from the
fire & keep it from stiring put in 4 ounces of venice
Turpintine stir it til near could then power it into water
& make it up into roles this was much commended to me

The Lady Diana Bells way of making the cordiall

Take of Teduary)(plague water)
Enula compona Tormentill single Pieny Angelico Licorish
butter bur & Gentian roots of each two ounces leaves of
cardius Rose solis Pimpernell Celandine Betony scabius Rue
Egimony wormwood mint Bame Mugwort Featherfew
Angellica leaves & stalks Dragons Marigold flower Aveni
Scordium of each four handfulls cut your herbs & bruse
your roots then put them into three galons of Sack lees
& let them stand 44 hours then distill them in an Alembeck
this quantity wil make three stillings

For the Griping of the Gutts

Take Anniseed water two ounces Rubarb grated two drams
infuse it for a mounth shaking it every day twice give to a Child
3 spon spoonfulls to a woman 4 & to a man 5 or 6 keep warm
this is a certain Remedy

The Turpintine pills for the stone or for the whits in or
any weakness in the back

Take two ounces of the best venice Turpentine wash it wel
in white wine til it be very white then power a way the wine & put
to it half an ounce of the largest cheese bobs made into fine powder one nutmeg Licorish in
fine powder three ounces stir in as much of this powder as wil make
it thick & strow some of this powder on your hand & make them up into
pils put them up in a Box with good store of the licorish powder with
them Take 5 of these pils in a morning doe so for 8 daies togather
then rest for a fortnight & take them a gain you need not of observe
any rule but goe where you plese & doe eate what you plese

Doctor Bugin did order these pills to be taken after a fit of
the Gout two at night & three in the mornin & then three at
night & two in the morning til you have taken threescore

For Sore breast which was fear'd might turn
it a cancer
