A Medson for an agew
Take 3 spounfulls of newmilk of anniseeds water

Take a pottell of white wine & a pottle of milk
& a pottell of snails out of the shels then take
balme & brown sage & spear mints of
each of these one handfull of liverwort two
2 handfulls & bruse two ounces of Aneyseedsniseseeds {Aniseseeds}
& 9 ounces of Licgieorish & stone 2 pound of {Liquorish}
Raisons of the Sun & 2 pound of figges sliced
& put all these into a still & never let y r
fier goe out untill it is all stilld & then
put in to the watter 3 quarters of a pound of duble
re find suger & bottle it up for y r use & let
th party that is ill take of it twise a day morning & Evening

An Excellent Balsum to be Taken inwardly
or outwardly called Laucatellus Balsom
Take of the oyle olive one quart liquid
storax three ounces Hypericon half an ounce
as much Naturall balsom & as much Red Sanded
Dragons blood a quarter of an ounce Mummie
half an ounce oyle of Bayes a quarter of
an ounce Bees Wax a quarter of a pound spring
water a pint Rose water & plantain water of
each too ounces Rosemary & Sweet Marierum
a handfull –

put y
water & Rose water into a pipkin over night
& mix them togather & when thay are wel beate
togather cover them all night then cut y r wax
small & put it into an nother pipkin & shred
y r Sweet Marierum & rosemary small
& put them to y r wax then y r Dragons blood
& Mumie being wel beaten put them to y r
wax & herbs then set both y r pipk pipkins
on the fire togather & as y r wax melts stir it
thus keep boyl them severaly an hour at the lest
then put y r wax & all this into that pipkin wh[...]
e oyles & waters are & beat them a pretty space tog[...]
ther then put in y r Naturall balsom & Sande[...]
being finely beaten & so boil them let with continuall
stirring half a quarter of an hour this done
strain it into an Earthen pan & when it tis cold
scrape it at e bottom disolve it & keepe it in
pots. the water t is under e balsom is good to
wash wounds sores & burnings w th boil it over a cha[...]
