To make Tumbols

Take a pint of flover half a pound of Sugar
a pound of butter 3 Eggs a grayn of Musk a
small quantity of corriander seeds then stir them
round in an Earthen pann all one way this done
roale them up in a quarter of a pound of Suger more
so baking them all is done

to Make Gingerbread

Tak one pottle of flower rub in a pound of
Butter put in one of ginger one ounce
of Culliander seed one ounce of carriaway seed
a quarter of a pound of six penny sugger half
a pound of orings & Lemon pile canded
then wet it with a pound & half of Treacle
let them stand in the oven one hour:

{Mrs Wroths was half a pound of Sugar three ounces of Ginger
two Nutmegs & a half grated no seeds nor sweetmeats
but when these things was mixed then melt your butter in hast & put it
in as also your Treacle & a quarter of a pint of cream a quick oven
les then half an hour wil bake it}

how to order a Ham of Pork

Take a Ham of Pork & a pint of Salt
with half a quarter of a pound of S
Salt Peter & mixed with it put it into a skilet
& let it be very well dried over the fire &
when it tis as hot as you can bear it rub
your Ham & as you rub it use two ounces of
of course sugar not mixt with your salt but stro
it on with your hand for else it wil melt & so rub
your Ham by the fire & stil keep the salt as hot as
you ar able to rub it in & so must you doe
til it tis all gon into your Ham then lay in
to a pan & be sure to turn it everyday
for 9 daies togather then dry it
