Mid part plesant weather. light breeze from the
NW steering N by E. employed taking in
salt water for ballast. Latter part shortened
sail. thick weather. kept ship by the wind
heading NNE. quater watches. so ends in
Latt 56"52 Long 165"36.

Wednesday Aug 11th

First part good breeze from the Northward
and thick weather. laying by the wind
heading NE. Mid part good breeze from
the north steering by the wind heading NNE.
the RE in sight. Latter part strong breeze
from the NNW. took in sail too double
reefed maintopsail and foresail and lay by
the wind heading NE by N in company
with the Robert Edwards. three other sails
in sight. so ends in Latt 56"50 Long 163"43.

Thursday Aug 12th

First part strong breeze from the Northward
and thick weather. made sail too double
reefed topsails and courses steering by the wind
heading W by N. Mid part strong
breeze and clear weather. three sails in
sight. Latter part spoke the Robert E.
took in sail too double reefed main
topsail and and lay by the wind
heading SW by W. came in verry thick
so ends Latt 56"41 Long 164"11.
