light airs from the Southward. by the wind

Thesday Aug 3rd

First part calm and plesant. Mid part
light airs from the NW steering SE.
Latter part took in sail and set quater
watch. one sail in sight all day.
Latt 56"30 Long 167"10.

Wednesday Aug 4th

First part good breeze from the Northward.
made sail steering by the wind heading
ENE. at 6 AM tacked ship heading SW.
wind to the Westward. three sails in sight.
Mid part gaming with the Robert Edwards
and the Rosepool. all three ships steering to
the Eastward. Latter part took in sail and kept
ship by the wind heading NE.

Thursday Aug 5th

First part good breeze from the Northward. made
sail steering NE by E. tacked ship heading NW.
4 sails in sight. at 10 AM tacked ship heading EN
E. Mid part gaming with the Robert Edwards
Cap Wood of NB the New England the Jireh Swift
Cap [Erl?] of NB and the George & Susan
Cap Jones of NB all laying with their
head sails aback. Latter part strong breeze
from NE under double reefed maintopsail
heading NNW. [?] sail in sight during the day.
