Remarks on board the Thorn
These 24 hours light winds and pleasant weather. Got 3 black fish. One boat stove. Cut 6 [Bn?] Sounded 50 fathoms water. Saw one sail at 7 A[M]. 54 fathoms water. At 9 head of ES East from the sail. Saw some [whales?].
