1945 31 Days JULY

26 Th Peggy's birthday. Showery day.
Checked books and looked
at some photos of Miss Saunder
in morning. Ushered for the Seniors
Parents Party in afternoon. Washed my
hair and did some mending in
evening.

27 Fri Wet in morning but fine
later. Had no lessons at all
and broke up at 12o'clock. Miss Saunders,
Mrs Weeley & Miss Crawford left. Miss Saunders
gave each of us a book. Helped Mummy in
afternoon and packed in evening. Had a
bath & Gordon brought my supper to bed.

28 Sat Lovely day. Got all the work
done early in morning
and then we all set off for Birmingham
in the car. Left Gordon at home and
Judy's sister & little girl are coming
to keep house. Had one puncture
on the way & had some difficulty
in finding Auntie Anns house but
Memo eventually arrived at 6.15pm.
Played games in evening.

Wed Mummy took bible class. Gordon Padre
Bert. Deny's Judy, Geo Phang. Mr Cottan
& Leslie came.
