Had a nice geography lesson.
Did gym. Finished my letter to George
in my free lesson and Betty posted it for me.
Had a lovely french lesson. Did needlework homework.
Had 5 airmen at study circle:- Colin, Gilbert P/05
Earnest, Taffy +&Arther.

10 Fri-Full Moon 12.28 a.m.
Cold misty day.
Had quite nice lessons in morning and
after break had a lecture on Japan by
Bishop Walsh. Very good. Did not
play games in afternoon because of
chilblains. Did revision in evening.

11 Sat-Lease-Lend Bill signed, 1941

Very cold
wind. Helped Mummy in morning
and then Janet & I went to Sutton.
Got all my sweet ration. Had a bath
in afternoon and did revision in the evening.

Make the main-crop sowing of Brussels Sprouts,
Onions and Leeks. On a warm border make the first of
successional sowings of Cabbage Lettuces, and stump-
rooted Carrots. Onions sown the previous August
should now be ready for planting out on a well-prepared
bed, taking care that the seedlings are not planted too
deeply.
Cold Districts.-Make the first sowing of Peas and
Spinach.
