Henry Davenport Esq

Dear Sir,

As there was no one upon whom I could rely that I cared to call to get the sketch of the lot with graves as you desired, I went myself, & this is the result. The measurements are substantially correct. The length of graves can only be judged by this appearance, as the mound is often not so long as the actual grave. I have given here what I supposed to be the actual length, & some of these may therefore exceed the reality. There are usually three spaces in length in a lot 20 feet deep, & I do not see why there should not be here. I think there is room for eight more bodies, leaving the gateway to the monument.

Yours Respectfully

A. J. Coolidge

Henry Davenport Esq Boston

Dear Sir

Yours of 7th is received. Lot 767 had nothing done to it last year as far as I know. It is in a very neglected condition. The iron fence should be removed. If the proprietor of the lot will permit the Corporation to do this the old material will pay for filling up and sodding over the post holes, cutting down and rehammering 4 posts for the corners and cutting the number of the lot on one of them. $3000/100 more would pay for grading and sodding the lot putting it all in good repair. If the fence is not removed it will cost $6 to paint it properly.

Very respectfully James W Lovering pr J.C.S. Supt
