H.H. Wu reported that this present club-house, #4 Salvatera St, would cost at about $4000.00, this information being derived from inquiry to the university comptroller Mr. A.E. Roth.
The following resolutions were adopted.
1. Resolved that we shall not buy this house at its present price $4000.00.
2. Resolved that we would buy the house if its price can be reduced to or below $3000.00.
C.K. Chan and H.H. Wu are to go to President Wilbur to find out if substantial reduction of the price of the university could be granted to us.
In case of failure of reduction of price, the following resolutions were adopted.
1. We are going to build a new house on the campus.
2. The deficiency arising from the cost of construction shall be made good by issuing bonds or by some other financial means.
H.H. Wu's motions to have the house down in Palo Alto and to close the campaign were defeated.
Meeting adjourned at 11:00 P.M.
