Special Meeting

The Oct. 10th celebration was observed at our house. All members gathered together and celebrated the eighth birthday of our Republic. A very elaborate program made the evening well spent and brought us right back to the very heart of China.

Chairman C.K. Chan called the special meeting at 8 p.m. and introduced the speakers. Mr. H.H. Wu spoke on the subject "Good Hope of China"; Mr. Pu Hwang gave his talk "Co-operation"; Mr. Hsu spoke on the subject "Your Duty"; and the was Mr. Meh "What can you give to our Country".

After the speaker delivered their speeches, we continued our business meeting. Invite Prof. Treat two weeks from today to discuss the Shungtung Issue.

I Club house membership fee raised from fifty cent to $1.00 per quarter, motions were made and passed.

Respectfully submitted, H.W. Yee

Nov. 21,1919

The second regular meeting of the Club was held in the Club House on Friday, Nov 21, 1919. Chairman Mr. C.K. Chan presided the meeting. Secretary H.W. Yee read the last meetings minutes. At the beginning of the meeting, the constitution had been discussed. The constitution had many defective points. It was not applicable to the needs of our own Club, so expect to redraft it, making it adequate to meet the new needs at the next regular meeting.

Mr. H.H. Wu suggested that we are going to buy some thing to present to Mr. and Mrs. Hutslar as a Christmas gift, because Mr. And Mrs. Hutslar invited all the Chinese Students to their home for supper on Dec 5, 1919. Motion was made and seconded. Mr. C.K. Chan promised to buy the gift.

Next on the program, Mr. C.K. Chan read the Chinese letter sent by Mr. S.S. Lee. The letter stated to resign his position as treasurer for the Club. Motion was not passed.

H.W. Yee gave suggestions about the Financial Campaign for the Club house and urged everyone to play a part in the work. Beside this he suggested to have a Club picture taking. Motion was made by Mr. N.Y. Yue and Mr. S.S. Lee seconded. These pictures send to Students Monthly and Stanford Quar.
