7:50 P.M. Regular Meeting April 1,1919

The first regular meeting of the Spring Quarter was called to order by Pres. Lee with all members present.

It was moved and seconded that the secretary should answer each of the circulars received from the M.I.T. Club and F.H. Huang, (the former charging the latter with neglect of duty as the C.S.A. President and the latter pleading defense), informing them to refer this case to the Alliance councilmen.

Mr. Hall suggested and proposed that the club should install an adequuct system in the club, whereby, the scholastic record of the club may be elevated and at the same time, members may derive benefits from it. A long discussion followed and finally the following motion was seconded and carried by a majority vote of 5 to 2. The motion is as follows:- That hereafter, any member of this club who acquires a final record during any one current quarter of an average grade below "C", the said student should be fined, by the club, one dollar for each honor point lacking to bring him up to an average "C" grade and the fine shall not exceed five dollars. On the other hand, if a member should acquire an average grade of over "B", he should be awarded one dollar for each honor point over the average "B", but the prize shall not exceed five dollars for any one student. Those whose records are between "C" or "B" or there between are not affected by this rule. Furthermore, the fines are to be entered into and the awards to be paid by the treasury of the club.
