A cloudy day and a little rain. Josie and Ben & Jim & the children staid at home all day. Josie got dinner. She baked pies mince and potatoe pies.

I went to Johnsons. Reubin Reynols come for me and Johnson brought me home. Mollie had a good dinner. I enjoyed my visit. Floid and Christenia had kites and let them fly. They were the first that I ever saw fly. Irvin Harvey come there this evening. He has growed and is a fine looking boy. Virginia was at home today.

8 oclock

Josies cactus is in bloom now.

A cool windy day. Ben sawed stove wood this evening. He broke his saw and borrowed Mr Bob Starkeys to saw his wood. Mr Woodall and Reese Smith helped him. They had preaching at Strait Stone this evening. Marvin went for the preacher.

Josie baked rools for supper. I have staid at home all day today. I am a fraid that the frost will kill all tender things tonight.

A cloudy cool day. Ben sawed wood at Marvins. Jim worked on his tobacco ground. Josie wet a lot of gingham this morning and ironed it this evening. I went to Mags this evening. Mr Padget even taken me and gave me a ride. I was glad of it. Found all well at Mags. I come by Renan. Hubbard was plowing. Kate Hubbard was freezing cream. I then come by Reynols's. There was no one at home but Julia and children the rest of them was gone to Danville. Kate Harvey went with them. I come by Mr Farthings. Mrs Farthing has nice little girl a week olde. Her name is Elsie May. They had a lot of company. I then come by Marvins and then home. Josie had supper a bout ready.

A beautiful day. No sign of rain. Jim & Marvin moved some tobacco this morning. Ben went to Chalk Level to get some peices sawed to make a roller to roll their wheat land. They worked on the roller all evening and did not finish it. Josie sewed some on a dress for Edna.

I went to Marvins this evening. They are getting on very well there. Tonight Marvin & Ben has gone hunting.

We heard this morning that Mr Taz Wooding died last night. Will be buried tomorrow.

A beautiful day. Ben fixed up the wood saw and with Henrys help sawed some wood.

This evening Ben & family went to Jim Powers. They carried Mrs Car home. I went to Marvin Smiths. Reese Smith carried me to White Falls. Paul & Roy went with us. I fished and caught several fish. We stopped at Renan. There was several men there. Lee Brumfield was there. Kate Hubbard & Virginia Harvey and Little Clack was there. I am always glad to see any of the grand children. Martha Miller (col) tied tobacco for Marvin so that Reese could go with me fishing. I know I am a bother some times but it wont last long.
