Benj. Lombard Esq

Dear Sir,

Yours of 28th ult. was recd. I enclose you the deed of your lot. We have a receipt book for deeds, but, your acknowledgement of its reception on a single line can be attached to it.

The papers ^(receipt of bills) loaned this Corporation by individual proprietors were all returned in August 1864, and I have no doubt I dealt with yours as with the rest, for I knew your address: but I cannot, this moment lay my hand upon the list which I was careful to preserve of those to whom sent, with dates.

I am not aware whether any bill against you for last year is in the hands of the Treasr -- but I will send this to him, & request him to forward the bill with it, if there is one.

Respy yours

A.J. Coolidge Sec.y

There is $1.00 due to the Treasr for the deed

Erasmus M. Dean Esq Hartford Conn.

Dear Sir,

Mrs Sophie Mumford left in a codicil to her will a writing which in its true & legal effect appears to make you the residuary devisee of her lot in the Cemetery, no. 126. We do not however change the title, except at the request of the person laying such claim: and it is the rule with the Corporation, after making a record of the devise, to annex a certificate thereof to the ^original deed. If Mr Drake has even sent that paper to you, if you will forward it, with $2, the fee for record, & certifying, and entry of name, I will return the paper to you completed. I have seen the original will here, and shall not need a copy.

Your early reply will be in time [to?] enter your name on the new catalogue about [indecipherable].

Resp.y yours

A.J. Coolidge
