A little rain this morning. Clear this evening. Ben & Jim and Henry went to work in the tobacco this morning. Word came that Miss Ursal[?] Lewis was lost from the milkin place. The boys from here and all over the neighborhood went to look for her. They found her unharmed. She just went a way because she was mad. Josie raked and worked on the yard. I was afraid she would be sick. Denia & Sallie Blair come here this evening. I was at Johnson Reynols. They had a crowd this evening. Mrs Kellie & Grace Brumfield & Mrs Dr Owen and six children, Kate Harvey and I. They had plenty of water mellons. Two men was going to speak at Renan school house tonight.

A good day. The men worked in their tobacco all day. Josie made her a dress this morning, the silk that Mrs Car gave her. I churned and got dinner. This evening we all went to Marvins. They had company. I was glad to see them all. Kate Harvey, Mag & Doris Fran[?] & Charley Brumfield. Lottie Kellie & two children.

Mr Kellie brought them & come for them. He is good to take them around.

Rorer the commioner come while we were there. He took the list of Ben & I.

A beautiful day. The men worked in the tobacco all day. They say that the worms are very bad.

Josie caned six cans of corn and tomatoes.

This evening Ben carried Josie, Edna, & Franklin and Mabel to Mr Jim Powers to see Mrs Fletcher Car & children. Ben said he did not get out of the car. I know he did not stay long any where. Tonight Ben & Henry has gone after them.

I sent 8 chickens for Miss Anna Hubbard.

Have ironed some this evening.

A good day. Jim & Ben worked on their tobacco most of the day. They helped Marvin clear out his well this evening.

Jose ironed this morning. Marvin let Reese carrie me to White Falls. Paul & Roy went. They bathed in the river and had a good time. I caught 20 little fish. When I got home Lizzie was there. She had Ola's little boy with her. I am glad she come. I have slept most of the time to night but I could not help it. I had bin on my feet all day nearly.

Reese brought me home. Carrie & the children come with me. I thank them.

A good day. The boys worked tobacco. Mr. Booker got up his whea[t]. Posie Reynols come just at dinner. He wanted to sell Ben a car. Ben is not able to buy. Posie carried his mother and Christina to [g?] and I to White Falls. I fished and Mollie fished some. Mrs. Owen and her children and Doris and Janie and Francis [sic] all to White Falls. They went in bathing. I think they had a good time. Edna and Franklin and Mabel [s?d] at Mollies with Julia and her [cl?ll]. Josie tried [sic]
